Love Program
Pole dancing has been a wonderous gift to me. A beautiful art that I have deep respect for. Although this sentiment will not be too popular with many people, it has been a most satisfying journey for me.
Loosely I would categorise the dynamics of pole dancing into three components.
Love Program
1- Pole Styling
It is a term that I coined for my students to understand the various aspect of pole dancing. It means moving around a pole, dancing with a pole without having to perform strenuous tricks or even be off ground and still be graceful and sexy around a pole.

2- Pole Tricks (Stunts)
It is the fanciful stuff that you do to a pole. Thats where the fun begins where some dancers. And thats where the terror starts for others. Pole tricks refers to swings, slides, climbs and inverts. Some of the more advanced tricks are practically gymnastics in nature and demand very strong limbs and abdominal muscles to be executed well.

3. Pole Safety
A often neglected component of pole dancing will be pole safety. In our anxiety to learn the advanced tricks, we tend to overlook the safety factor. However, falling off a pole especially when you are practising alone can have serious consequences.

In view of its importance, here are some simple pointers:

Ensure that the pole is secure and safe.

Always keep the pole clean and dry.
-
Your palms must be dry when pole dancing.
-
Clean the pole often if you have sweaty palms.
-
Work on building your arms muscles, legs muscles and abdominal muscles.
-
Have a relationship with the pole. Learn how to grip the pole using your arms and legs.
-
Get off the pole when in doubt or when you are rapidly losing strength.
