Now, before you think I hate Britney Spears, let me tell you upfront how much I adore her. She is bloody hot and sexy as hell. But still, I find her latest Gimme More video leaves so much to be desired. The song however is raunchy and does make me wanna do things to my pole. *ha*

First of all, the video was blur through and through. I’m not sure if it’s because that particular video in Youtube was of inferior quality. There were plenty of repetitive moves. *Yawn* Her hands placement were all wrong for a pole video.

You cannot possibly use your left hand all the time when you are filming a pole shoot standing on the left side of the pole. And show off your armpit. And block your own beautiful face. Duh?

The video comes across as too free and easy. It seems to me there isn’t any choreographed or knocked out moves of any kind. It was a lot of hovering around the pole like a lost and wandering soul. Most of the video was shot in one angle. I pray to God it was not from a fixed tripod!

Many a times the face is partially cut off and you wonder what happened to her forehead. It just doesn’t make any video sense at all. By the time the video is over, your mind just go “huh? That’s it?!” Definitely not what we expect from the one and only Britney Spears.

The black rocker babe outfit was cool by me. And I, for one, thinks she has an awesome body and a gorgeous butt. However, it was tarnished by her *gasp* did you see that protruded tummy?! Overall, a hideous video by Miss “I’m A Slave For You” standards.

What happened to the sizzling seductress that had everyone, including me for the record, eating out of her hands? Yes the poor girl is traumatized with her marital and children custody issues. But hey, Britney, you are dearly missed and please, Hit Me Baby One More Time!

Pole Dancing in Lan Kwan Fong

When I was in Hong Kong, I went to Lan Kwan Fong to catch some of the action. There was this gay club that I remembered visiting last year. On the spur of the moment, I decided that would be a really great place to party!

However, I was saddened by the sight that greeted me. It was like a dead town! Not much action, nobody is dancing, it was heartbreaking! Since we were already there, I decided to take matters into my own hands. No entertainment? No problem, we will create our entertainment!

So I told my friends, I will entertain them with pole dancing provided they would tip me. Haha! It was really funny. I was seriously fooling around the poles. The whole club was watching me. I didn’t care. It was a pain though trying to juggle my footwork since it was not firm ground that the poles were attached on.

Suddenly, a guy’s arms grabbed me from behind and I realized that a guy has started to pole dance with me. I instinctively know he is a dancer (it takes one to know one lah) from the firm way that he was holding me and the confidence vibe I got from him.

So we rocked it! As quickly as he came, he disappeared without any warning. Then came my sweet girlfriend from Thailand. She was happily dancing with me. I guess pole dancing is a good reminder of home for her.

And of course, I got my tips. My real motive was really to earn enough cab fare to go home at the end of the day. NOT! haha

Learning how to do such sexy dance items must have been quite a bumpy ride for the girls. They do not have much of a dance background, hence it will be a challenge to do exotic dance for a competition especially pole dancing!

Well, whatever the case is, the ladies are indeed hard at work to give their best to you on that big day. The first session was a little bewildering because they are still trying to come to terms with performing such items.

Subsequent sessions were very fruitful because they have gotten used to the routine and it is a matter of cleaning up their act and eliminating their small distracting mannerisms. I got stricter as time goes by.

Once they are on stage, they will be truly on their own. They are better off learning it the hard way now then to freeze on stage or make mistakes and being unable to recover from it. That would be a performer’s worst nightmare. Trust me…

Everyone had fun and found out a little more about themselves and their own capabilities through this event. I myself was pleasantly surprised at how fast I came up with the choreography because of the tight timeline. It is good that the production unit is pleased with it because I definitely am!

Always such a pleasure to be satisfied with your own work although that is no excuse for not having continuous improvement. Rachelle and Shi Qian deserves your fullest support for their hard work. So make sure you are there for the show and give them your fullest encouragement.
