When I was still a dancer, I remembered several dance assignments where my space was intruded by a protruding pole. Initially I was really annoyed every time it happens. Because one, the pole took attention away from me. Two, it occupied space that I can utilize for my show and three, I was clueless what to do with it.

It happened often enough for me to decide I need to work WITH the pole rather than resent it because that is not going to get me anywhere. My pole dancing joyride has began. I started to fool around with the pole. Fooling became an affair. Eventually the affair was awarded permanent residence in my life. *wry smile*

I experimented with the pole, self taught myself certain moves, spent too early hours at bars with poles, imported in DVDs and before I knew it, it became a full time affair. The more I clocked in hours with the pole, the more attracted I was to it. Beautiful, shining and dependable.

The familiar touch of the pole, the connection my palm had with the pole and that airborne feeling all became like breathing was to me. Inseparable. This, is Fatal Pole Attraction. I have official joined the “Don’t You Wish Your Girlfriend Was A Pole Dancer.” *wink*
